Services of Worship

Each month we hold a shared lunch, on the 2nd Sunday of the month, and a shared breakfast on the 3rd Sunday.

For details about specific upcoming services, see the Home Page.

Sunday

9:00 a.m.

A service of Holy Communion with a small, friendly congregation. This is a quiet service with a sermon but no hymns. On the first, fourth and fifth Sundays of the month we worship using the Book of Common Prayer (1662 Service). On second and third Sundays we use A New Zealand Prayer Book.

Approximate duration: 45 minutes.

10:00 a.m.

A fuller service with hymns, often a sung liturgy, and on most Sundays a choir. We worship using A New Zealand Prayer Book on most Sundays. On the Third Sunday of each month we hold a less formal Eucharist which uses a variety of liturgical resources. Each Sunday we gather together for morning tea after the 10am service.

Approximate duration: 75 minutes.

Evening Service

First, Second and Fourth Sundays - 6pm Study with Night Prayer

Through most of the year we hold an informal Evening Worship or Bible Study in the lounge.

At present we are studying St Paul's letters to the Corinthian Church.

Approximate duration: 60 minutes.

Third Sunday Only - 7pm Choral Evensong

A Traditional Anglican Service with a Robed choir, and anthem, hymns and a sermon

Wednesday

10:00 a.m.

The Wednesday service of Holy Communion uses The Book of Common Prayer. This is a short service held in the Parish Lounge and followed by morning tea.

Approximate duration: 30 minutes.
