New to St John's?
If you’ve never been inside a church in your life and you’re wondering what happens in a church service, or what Christianity is all about read our Beginner’s Guide to the Anglican Church.
Where is St John’s Roslyn?
St John’s is located on the corner of Highgate and Wright Street in Roslyn, a block to the north of the Roslyn Bridge. Our Contact page gives our telephone and e-mail details.
Who can come to St John’s?
Anyone! You don’t have to be an Anglican, or even a Christian, to attend our services. Visitors are always welcome, and baptised members of any Christian denomination are free to receive Holy Communion.
What if I’ve never been in a church before?
In the words of The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, Don’t Panic. St John’s Roslyn is a non-threatening environment. You won’t be bullied into becoming a Christian on the spot. There are no membership fees, you don’t have to fill in any forms (unless you want to be on the Parish Roll), and we don’t even have a dress code. (Only Bishops wear hats in church nowadays.)
